Using synthetic materials combined with natural fibers, I draw from the biological notion of a single unit combining and recombining in an organic and regenerative fashion to create larger patterns and structures. The choice of synthetic materials readily available commercially in conjunction with the organic and meditative nature of my labor-intensive and detail-oriented process is a personal comment on the human condition in an age of mass production and machine manufacture.
